Measure K - Five Year Storm Drain Improvement Program

As part of the recently approved Capital Improvement Program, the City included $2,042,350 in future improvements as part of the Five Year Storm Drain Improvement Program.  The Storm Drain Improvement Program provides for the installation of new storm facilities and the upgrade of existing storm drain facilities.  The program primarily addresses locations of poor drainage or areas with localized flooding problems.  Projects funded through this program are implemented per the City's Storm Drain Improvement Priority List and Master Plan.  Over the next two years, the budget allocates a total of $175,000 in Measure K funds and another $200,000 in local funds.  Some of the projects include:

Mazie Drive, Vivian Drive, Patricia Drive - Construct 700-ft of 18" storm drain pipe, catch basins and manholes.  Repair sink hole at 1943 Patricia Drive.  Convert private system to public system.
Diablo View Road/Pleasant Hill Road - Construct 782-ft of 18" storm drain pipe, 6 manholes and 1 catch basin.  Re-route storm water from upstream subdivision from private ditch to public drainage system.  
City-Wide - Maintenance including catch basins, curb and gutter, valley gutters minor pipeline repairs, CCTV and pipe cleaning.  This is only a portion ($150K) of the estimated needs ($525K).
