- 2021 Signage and Striping Project
The City’s contractor, Chrisp Company, started construction of the 2021 Signage & Striping Project (Various Locations), Project on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
The work includes removal of existing aged traffic striping, installing traffic striping, legends, posts, signs, and raised pavement markers at various locations throughout the City.
The project consists of 13 locations including the following streets: Chilpancingo Parkway, Paso Nogal Road & Paso Norte Drive, Morello Avenue, Viking Drive, Grayson Road & Strand Avenue, Pleasant Hill Road & Western Hills Drive, Gregory Lane, Boyd Road, Patterson Boulevard & Soule Avenue, Patterson Boulevard & Hawthorne Drive, Pleasant Hill Road & Paradise Lane, Oak Park Boulevard & the Contra Costal Canal Trail and Oak Park Boulevard & Wendell Lane/Pleasant Hill Road. The Pleasant Hill City Council awarded the 2021 Signage & Striping Project No. 04-21 to Chrisp Company on December 20, 2021. This Project will maintain and upgrade pavement markings, reflectors, striping, curb painting, and signs, which, due to exposure to natural elements and vehicular wear, require regular upkeep. These devices are important roadway features and are required for the safe movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles on the roadway. The Project improvements are located at various sites throughout the City, primarily on collector and arterial streets, with an emphasis on refreshing school crosswalks.
