The Operations Division is the most visible branch of the Police Department and is comprised of the Patrol Bureau, the Traffic Bureau and the K9 Unit.
Officers in the Patrol Bureau work in the community daily, responding to calls for service and patrolling the streets of Pleasant Hill.
The members of the Traffic Bureau are Motorcycle Officers whose focus is to address issues pertaining to road safety. Their responsibilities include investigating traffic collisions, providing traffic control, offering informational services to the public and participating in county-wide campaigns aimed at making our streets and roadways safer for the public.
The K9 Unit is home to our police dogs & their human partners. These skilled K9s are trained for both searching/apprehension as well as drug detection, making them ideal for specific tasks such as locating suspects, tracking missing persons, and finding evidence related to important cases.
