Traffic Alert for Contra Costa Boulevard (2nd Avenue South to 680 Exit/Target Entrance. The City’s contractor, G. Bortolotto & Co., Inc., is currently working on the Contra Costa Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation Project, at times both during daytime hours (typically 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.) and nighttime hours (typically 9:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M.). Motorist should expect delays during construction hours. Please follow posted detours. We appreciate your patience with any delays caused by construction activities.

The project is funded in part by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The Contractor is currently finishing the construction of median curbs, landscape irrigation and median cobble stone treatment during the daytime hours. The night-time work is focused on asphalt paving work consisting of grinding off the top asphalt layer, performing asphalt dig out repairs of the roadway, installing traffic loops, and overlaying the street with new pavement and traffic striping.
