The City is now seeking applicants for a number of vacancies on regional and City commissions and advisory committees.  Applications for the following vacancies are being accepted through Wednesday, March 8, 2017:

Central Contra Costa Transit Authority (known as County Connection) Advisory Committee

This committee advises the County Connection Board of Directors on issues regarding operation of the fixed-route and paratransit bus service programs in the region.  Residents with experience in reviewing financial and planning documents, use the bus system and/or have an interest in improving public bus transportation are encouraged to apply.

Civic Action Commission

The Civic Action Commission organizes the Sunset by the Lake Summer Concert Series at City Hall, and organizes other events such as Community Service Day and a city-wide garage sale. Residents or non-residents with businesses in Pleasant Hill, with experience in event planning and a willingness to provide hands-on logistical support are encouraged to apply.

Traffic Safety Commission

This commission reviews traffic safety problems for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists, and provides recommendations for solutions. Residents with expertise in engineering, public safety, or professional pursuits which involve a technical and practical understanding of vehicular traffic systems are encouraged to apply.
