The Pleasant Hill Police Department will host National Night Out on the lawn at City Hall on Tuesday August 1st, from 6 to 8 pm. The community can enjoy free BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs, check-out a police vehicle, fire truck and ambulance and K-9 demonstration. Children will enjoy a bounce house and face painting. Local organizations will provide booths to educate, provide snacks, desserts and entertainment.
The National Night Out program was created to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
