At its meeting on December 18, 2017, the Pleasant Hill City Council elected Tim Flaherty as Mayor and Ken Carlson as Vice Mayor for the next year. Mayor Flaherty thanked his colleagues for entrusting him with the mayoral position once again and said that he looked forward to working with everyone on important issues facing Pleasant Hill in 2018. “Some of these issues include revisiting cannabis regulations, dealing with the housing crisis, working on economic development with surrounding communities, developing the two year budget and working on the general plan update; as well as pursuing infrastructure improvements and the new library, thanks to Measure K,” he stated
The next meeting of the City Council is scheduled to be held on January 8, 2018. Please note that all future Council meetings will have a new starting time of 7:00 p.m.
