Information for the Pleasant Hill Community

NOTE: This page contains information relating specific to Pleasant Hill, as well as links to Contra Costa Health Services and the Center for Disease Control.

Contra Costa Health Services is the lead agency in this response to a public health emergency. Their website is updated frequently and is an excellent source of information on COVID-19 in Contra Costa County. 

The Health Services Call Center is open 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday  1-844-729-8410 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

City Manager issues Proclamation of Local Emergency

City Manager June Catalano issued a Proclamation of Local Emergency on March 18, 2020. TheCity Council is is expected to ratify the Proclamation at a special meeting at 4 p.m. Monday, March 23.


City Services by appointment only

To comply with the March 16 Public Health Order intended to slow the spread of COVID-19, City Council and Commission meetings have been cancelled until further notice and  the City is providing only essential services by appointment to the public. Mt. Diablo School District Schools to close - Letter from Superintendent Robert Martinez states "I have decided to formally close schools starting on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Please note that Monday is a scheduled Professional Development Day for teachers, with no students present. More specifics will follow this afternoon regarding the parameters of the closure, and plans to maintain some services for students during the formal closure to schools.  We are working directly with any school sites where we have any new information that may prompt any immediate need to close school today, and will everyone with additional information as it is available."
