[ARCHIVED] Community Conversations on Social Justice

Community Conversations on Social Justice

What does Social Justice mean in Pleasant Hill? How do we ensure a fair and welcoming community for all?

Join City leaders and the Pleasant Hill Police Department for "Community Conversations on Social Justice," held over three sessions and moderated by Lloyd Schine, Diversity Chair of the Pleasant Hill Civic Action Commission.  Participants will be able to submit questions through the Zoom webinar platform.

The schedule is:

  • 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 “Social Justice and our Community”
  • 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 12 “Social Justice and the Role of the Faith Community”
  • 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 26 “Social Justice and Youth”

Community Conversations is a continuation of the conversation started on June 20 with a Virtual Town Hall, noted Police Chief Bryan Hill.

“We appreciated the participation and great questions at the recent Town Hall that focused on our policing policies,” said Hill. “We are looking forward to continuing our conversations with our community. Hearing directly from community members is vital.  I see these conversations as a chance to listen to what people are experiencing, and to form new and lasting partnerships for a stronger future.”
