[ARCHIVED] 60th Anniversary Photo Contest Begins

As the City of Pleasant Hill begins preparing to celebrate its 60th (Diamond) Anniversary in November, the community is invited to take part in a photo contest meant to celebrate all things Pleasant Hill. 

Beginning July 1, 2021, community members may submit photos in five categories:

  1. Landscape
  2. Spirit of Pleasant Hill
  3. Historical
  4. Pleasant Hill Inclusivity
  5. Hidden Gems (Misc.)


Participants may submit one photo in each category. Submissions are due by September 1, 2021. After the deadline, the Civic Action Commission’s Anniversary Committee will determine the top photo in each category. Those five photos will be enlarged, framed, and displayed in the city until the anniversary, November 14, 2021. Afterward, each winner will receive their framed photo. 

CONTEST RULES:

  1. One photo per category may be submitted
  2. Photos must be of the City of Pleasant Hill, CA
  3. Photos must be high resolution (preferably 300px)
  4. Participant must have taken the submitted photo(s)
  5. Participant grants City of Pleasant Hill the right to use submitted photos for in perpetuity
  6. Participant must have written permission of any person depicted in photos and permission must be attached with photo entry
  7. Photos must not depict any illegal activity

 
All approved photos will be displayed on the City of Pleasant Hill website, www.pleasanthillca.org, as well as the City’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. 

Photos may be submitted to Community Relations Manager Geoff Gillette at ggillette@pleasanthillca.org. Category name must be included in the subject line for the submitted photo.
