NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Pleasant Hill that the General Plan Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on making a recommendation to the Planning Commission and City Council on Housing Opportunity sites at various locations throughout the City of Pleasant Hill (as discussed at the July 14, 2021 General Plan Advisory Committee meeting date).  The proposed Housing Opportunity sites will subsequently be considered by both the Planning Commission and City Council for inclusion in the proposed City of Pleasant Hill Housing Element Update.

Pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the Guidelines for the Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) of 1970, as amended, the lead agency has determined that the proposed activity is exempt from CEQA. The City as the lead agency has determined with certainty that the proposed activity will not have a significant effect on the environment as subsequent environmental review will occur on the Housing Opportunity sites as part of the Housing Element that will be reviewed at a later date.

Please note that due to City Council Resolution No. 63-21, options for observing the General Plan Advisory Committee meeting and for participating in public comment regarding the meetings have changed. The General Plan Advisory Committee will participate remotely via teleconferencing.

THE PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the General Plan Advisory Committee starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, via Teleconferencing.  More information on how to participate, including providing live comments during the meeting, will be provided on the posted General Plan Advisory Committee Agenda.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN pursuant to Government Code Section 65009(B) that, if this matter is subsequently challenged in Court by you or others, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else has raised at a Public Hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Pleasant Hill at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.

For information on this matter, please call or email Troy Fujimoto, at (925) 671-5224 or tfujimoto@pleasanthillca.org.
