BikePedMP_cover image

The City of Pleasant Hill that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a recommendation to the City Council on a proposed City of Pleasant Hill Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.  The Plan will serve as the City’s master plan document for the funding and installation of future bicycle and pedestrian facility improvements.  The Plan has been reviewed by the Traffic Safety Commission and recommended for approval to the City Council.

The City, as the lead agency, has determined the proposed plan is exempt from CEQA as the plan is a bicycle and pedestrian plan that promotes and encourages people to choose walking, bicycling, or rolling through the creation of safe, comfortable, connected, and accessible walking, bicycling, or rolling networks, and encourages alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle trips and that establishes a comprehensive, coordinated approach to improving pedestrian infrastructure and safety throughout the City.

Please note the meeting will be teleconferenced pursuant to City Council resolution. Options for observing the Planning Commission meeting and for submitting communication regarding the meetings have changed. The Planning Commission will participate remotely via teleconferencing.

The Public Hearing will be held by the Planning Commission starting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, via Teleconferencing.  More information on how to participate, including providing live comments during the meeting will be provided on the posted Planning Commission Agenda.
