Juneteenth Celebration graphic

The community is invited to come to City Hall on June 18, 2023, for an afternoon of fun as Pleasant Hill celebrates Juneteenth.

The Juneteenth Holiday commemorates the day that the last remaining enslaved black people in the United States were freed on June 19, 1865.

It is a day of celebration, and the community is invited to come and participate as the City's Diversity Commission, the Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library, Bay Cities Paving, and Grocery Outlet host a fun afternoon of music, food, art, performances, and family fun. The event, held at the City Hall lake, 100 Gregory Lane, will run from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and will feature:

Music by the West African Highlife Band
A performance for the kids by Unique Derique
A visit from Princess Tiana of 'The Princess and the Frog'
Sweet Mother Food Truck & The Guzzler Bar Truck
Art Display

It's going to be a wonderful afternoon of joy and celebration, don't miss it!
